Ruchi Bhargava, Ph.D.
Dr. Bhargava received an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Gallaudet University. She now practices at the Midwestern University Multispecialty Clinic while teaching as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Psychology department. She provides individual, couple, and family therapy for both hearing and deaf populations. She also conducts psycho-educational and psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Bhargava's primary areas of specialty are working with children and adolescents in areas such as Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, oppositional behaviors, depression, anxiety, and school-related problems.
Melissa Flint, Psy.D.
Dr. Flint received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University/ Phoenix. She now practices at the Midwestern University Clinic while teaching as an instructor in the Clinical Psychology Program. She provides individual counseling and assessment to adults, with a specialty in serving individuals 55 years and above. Dr. Flint also conducts pre-surgical evaluations for patients undergoing bariatric surgical procedures. Her primary areas of interest are working with individuals dealing with depression, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety as well as grief and loss related issues.
Thomas Virden, Ph.D.
Dr. Virden is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology. He received his Ph.D. at Western Michigan University in Experimental Psychology and has served as a behavioral neuroscientist at Upjohn (now Pharmacia) and Arizona State University. Thereafter, Dr. Virden re-specialized in Clinical Psychology and gained additional training in Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. A practicing Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Virden left private practice in 2008 to join the Midwestern University Clinic. His areas of treatment include substance abuse, anxiety and mood disorders, working with the Pagan population, and general self improvement.
